Mirassol

Mirassol are unbeaten in their last four matches, with three draws and a win. Last time out, they took on Juventude on the road and earned a 2-2 draw thanks to a second-half spot-kick from Reinaldo.

In truth, Mirassol were the better of the two sides on the day and will probably feel frustrated they didn’t come away with all three points. Unlike Galo, they head into this battle the fresher of the two sides, having not played in midweek. Mirassol will be eager to replicate the performance that saw them take down Grêmio on home turf in their last outing.

Atlético Mineiro

Atlético Mineiro remain in the drop zone but will be pleased to have finally picked up their first win of the season last time out, seeing off champions Botafogo 1-0 thanks to a second-half goal from Cuello.

Galo were then held in midweek to a 1-1 draw away to Caracas in the Copa Sudamericana. They dominated the ball and created more chances, but couldn’t find a winner, meaning they had to settle for a point. Atlético will now be keen to make it back-to-back league wins—something they haven’t managed in the Brasileirão since July 2024.
