Bragantino know that three points in this fixture would move them level on 20 points with Cruzeiro and just two behind league leaders Palmeiras, who slipped up at the weekend.

Despite the opportunity ahead, Bragantino’s recent league form has dipped slightly. They are currently winless in their last two league outings. First, they drew 1-1 away to Grêmio, and then suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Palmeiras. Gabriel opened the scoring for the hosts, but second-half goals from Murilo and Mauricio handed Palmeiras all three points in a tightly contested match.

However, midweek brought a resounding return to form in the Copa do Brasil. Bragantino overturned a 1-0 first-leg deficit against Criciúma with a stunning 6-0 victory in the second leg. Eduardo Sasha got them started, Lucas Barbosa scored a hat-trick, and Thiago Borbas added a brace in a ruthless attacking display.

They’ll now be hoping to carry that midweek momentum into this league fixture as they look to close the gap on the top two.

Juventude
Juventude are enduring a difficult season in the Brasileirão. From their opening nine matches, they’ve managed just two wins, two draws, and five defeats, a return that sees them sitting second from bottom in the table.

They are currently without a win in their last six league matches, a stretch that includes four losses and two draws. Form, confidence, and consistency have all been hard to come by, and they’ll need a turnaround quickly if they want to avoid being dragged deeper into the relegation battle.
