Game Information
Monday 2nd June 2025 – (Kick Off 00:30)
Internacional
Internacional are winless in their last four league matches and will be desperate to turn things around here. They currently sit 14th in the Brasileirão, just two points above the drop zone, and will be well aware that another slip-up could drag them deeper into trouble.
Despite their league form, it’s not all doom and gloom, they’re unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions, with three wins and two draws in that period.
Their last league outing was a frustrating one , a 1-1 draw with bottom side Sport Recife. Chrystian Barletta gave Sport the lead early on before Gustavo Prado equalised in the second half. To make things worse for the hosts, Ronaldo saw red late on.
Then in midweek, Internacional stepped up when it mattered most, in a do-or-die Copa Libertadores clash against Bahia, they secured a 2-1 victory. Jean Lucas gave Bahia the lead, but Vitinho and Rafael Santos Borré turned the tie around, sealing top spot in the group and progression to the knockouts.
Inter will now be hoping to take that momentum into the league and climb back up the table with three much-needed points.
Fluminense
Fluminense are enjoying a strong run of form, having won four of their last five matches, including three victories on the bounce. Last time out in the league, they picked up a 2-1 win over rivals Vasco da Gama in the Clássico dos Gigantes. Despite falling behind to an early goal from João Victor, a Pablo Vegetti own goal levelled things up before Guga fired in a screamer in the 87th minute to seal a dramatic derby win. The result sees Fluminense sitting comfortably in 5th place after 10 matches.
Then, in midweek, it was another solid performance from Fluminense in the Copa Sudamericana, where they saw off Once Caldas of Colombia 2-0. Goals from Martinelli and Kevin Serna secured the victory and with it, top spot in their group heading into the knockouts.
After a frustrating campaign last season, this run has been a breath of fresh air for Flu fans, and they’ll now be hoping to carry this momentum into the next stretch of the Brasileirão season.
Prediction -Internacional 1-1 Fluminense
