Bragantino v Bahia
Kick Off 23:00 GMT – 12/06/2025
Bragantino come into this match unbeaten in their last three matches, a run which has seen them win all three. Last time out, they took on Vasco da Gama, where they enjoyed a 2-0 victory on the road with a solid performance. Goals from Guilherme and Isidro Pitta were enough to give Bragantino the three points. They currently sit third in the league after 11 matches and are one point behind the league leaders, Flamengo. A victory here could see them go top of the league, depending on what happens in the Cruzeiro game.
Unlike Bragantino, it’s been a busy period for Bahia, who, despite having a weekend off from Brasileirão action, were involved in Copa do Nordeste duty, where they secured top spot in their group. First, they suffered a 2-0 loss to Confiança, before bouncing back with a 3-1 victory over Náutico. Bruno Mozenga opened the scoring for Náutico, but a brace from Tiago and a goal from Michel Araujo sealed the win for Bahia.
Their last league outing saw them pick up a 2-1 victory over São Paulo, thanks to two second-half goals from Willian José. Luciano pulled one back for São Paulo late on, but it wasn’t enough. Bahia currently sit in 7th place, and a victory here would move them to within two points of Bragantino.
Prediction – Bragantino 2-1 Bahia
Vitória v Cruzeriro
Kick Off 23:00 GMT – 12/06/2025
Vitória currently sit just above the drop zone, edging Fortaleza on goal difference. They come into this match on the back of a 0-0 draw away from home against Corinthians last time out in the league. In that match, they had less of the possession and fewer chances, so will be fairly pleased to have come away with a point on the road against a strong Corinthians side.
However, what they won’t be pleased about is the fact they are now winless in their last four matches in all competitions. They’ll be hoping to bounce back here and get back to winning ways.
Cruzeiro know that if they better Bragantino’s result in this fixture, they will go top of the league heading into the break, albeit having played one game more than Flamengo, who currently sit above them.
Last time out in the Brasileirão, they enjoyed a statement 2-1 victory over Palmeiras, underlining their credentials this season. Cruzeiro raced into a two-goal lead inside five minutes after a quickfire brace from Kaio Jorge, who has been in fantastic form. Alan pulled one back for Palmeiras late on, but it wasn’t enough to dent what was an impressive and deserved result for Cruzeiro on home soil.
They currently trail Flamengo by just a single point and will be hoping to carry on their strong form with another win in this fixture.
Prediction – Vitória 0-2 Cruzeiro
Fortaleza v Santos
Kick Off 23:30 GMT – 12/06/2025
Fortaleza come into this matchweek sitting in the relegation zone in 17th place. After a disappointing run of results, they are currently winless in their last three league matches and have now lost five matches in a row across all competitions.
Most recently, they travelled to Flamengo and suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat. Goals from Giorgian de Arrascaeta, Evvertton Araujo, Luiz Araujo, Michael, and a second from Luiz Araujo sealed a dominant win for the hosts in what was a miserable evening for Fortaleza.
With just two wins from their 11 league matches so far, they’ll be desperate to bounce back here and turn their form around sooner rather than later.
Also sitting in the drop zone are Santos, who sit a place below Fortaleza, trailing them by two points with a record of two wins, two draws, and seven defeats from their 11 matches.
They’ll be eager to bounce back after suffering a 1-0 loss last time out at home against Botafogo. The key moment in the game came when Neymar was shown a red card for a second yellow after handling the ball in an attempt to score. Moments later, Artur found the net to give Botafogo a 1-0 win.
It was a disappointing evening for Santos, who will now be desperate to respond in this match against a side who sit just above them. They’ll be hoping to pick up three points and move out of the bottom four.
Prediction – Fortaleza 1-1 Santos
Grêmio v Corinthians
Kick Off 00:00 GMT – 13/06/2025
Grêmio come into this match sitting in 12th place with 4 wins, 3 draws, and 4 losses from their 11 matches. They’ll be pleased with their recent form, coming into this fixture off the back of two league wins in a row.
The most recent of those came in a 2-0 victory away from home against fellow Rio Grande do Sul side Juventude. First-half goals from Martin Braithwaite and Cristian Oliveira sealed the deal, giving Grêmio a solid three points on the road.
They will now be hoping to make it three wins on the bounce as they continue their push up the Brasileirão table.
Corinthians currently sit in 11th place and are level on points with Grêmio, with 4 wins, 3 draws, and 4 defeats from their 11 matches. Last time out in the league, they were held to a goalless draw at home against Vitória — a result they’ll be disappointed with given the home advantage.
It was their second consecutive 0-0 draw in the league, and they’ll be hoping to show more going forward in this fixture. Corinthians dominated possession with 71% of the ball and created four big chances, registering three shots on target, but couldn’t find a way past Lucas Arcanjo in the Vitória net.
They’ll now be aiming to be more clinical in front of goal as they look to bounce back with a win here.
Prediction – Grêmio 2-2 Corinthians
Atlético Mineiro v Internacional
Kick Off 01:30 GMT – 13/06/2025
Atlético Mineiro sit in 9th place with 4 wins, 5 draws, and just 2 defeats from their 11 matches. They come into this match in decent nick, unbeaten in their last 7 matches in all competitions — a run they’ll be hoping to extend.
Last time out, they took on Ceará away from home and came away with a 1-0 victory thanks to a 78th-minute goal from Rony. It was a solid display on the road, and they’ll now be hoping for more of the same in this matchup as they look to climb further up the table.
Internacional’s unbeaten run of five matches in all competitions came to an end last time out, and concern is growing as they still haven’t picked up a league win since April 26th.
Their most recent outing in the Brasileirão saw them fall to a 2-0 defeat at home to Fluminense, with goals from Kevin Serna and Paulo Baya sealing the three points for the Rio de Janeiro side.
Now sitting in 14th place, just one point above the drop zone, Internacional will be desperate to bounce back and steady the ship as they look to avoid getting dragged further into trouble.
Prediction – Atlético Mineiro 3-1 Internacional
São Paulo v Vasco da Gama
Kick Off 01:30 GMT – 13/06/2025
São Paulo will be hoping to turn things around as their league form continues to stutter. From their 11 matches, they’ve picked up just two wins, six draws, and three defeats — a run that sees them sitting only four points above the drop zone.
They’re currently without a win in their last two league outings, with the most recent coming in a 2-1 defeat away to Bahia. A brace from Willian José put the hosts 2-0 up before Luciano pulled one back in the 80th minute, but it was too little, too late.
São Paulo will be desperate to bounce back in this fixture and start climbing the table once again.
Vasco da Gama are also in need of a turnaround, having lost their last two league matches. Last time out, they hosted Bragantino at home and suffered a 2-0 defeat, with first-half goals from Guilherme and Idrissa Pitta securing the win for the Red Bull side.
Vasco have now lost 7 of their 11 matches this season, winning 3 and drawing just once. They sit in 15th place, only two points above the relegation zone — and only ahead of Vitória and Fortaleza by virtue of Brazil’s tiebreaker: games won.
They’ll be eager to respond here and begin climbing the table with a much-needed victory.
Prediction – São Paulo 1-0 Vasco da Gama
