Game Information

Sunday 6th April – Kick-off – 20:00 (GMT)

Fluminense

Mano Menezes became the first manager to be sacked in the Brasileirão season following his side’s 2-0 loss away to Fortaleza last weekend, extending their winless run to four matches.

The damage was done in the first half, with Fluminense conceding twice inside 22 minutes and never really getting going—they managed just one shot on target all game.

However, it was a much more positive outing on Tuesday, as Fluminense picked up a 1-0 win over Once Caldas in the Copa Sudamericana. They’ll now be hoping to carry that momentum into the league.

Renato Gaúcho has returned to take the helm for a fifth spell at the club. His last managerial stint came with Grêmio, where he spent two years before departing at the end of 2024.

Bragantino

Bragantino kicked off Monday night football in Brazil with a dismal first-half showing, falling 2-0 behind at home to Ceará within 23 minutes. However, Ignacio Laquintana pulled one back just before halftime, and the comeback was completed late on when Eric Ramires fired home from the edge of the box to salvage a 2-2 draw.

The Red Bull-backed club haven’t had any midweek fixtures and will come into this match fresher than Fluminense—a potential advantage they’ll be keen to exploit.

That said, if they want to get anything from this game, they’ll need to avoid another slow start like last weekend.
