Game Information

Sunday 6th April – Kick-off – 01:00 (GMT)

Botafogo

Botafogo have won just one of their last 11 matches and are in desperate need of a turnaround.
Last time out in the league, they earned a decent point away to Palmeiras in a fairly even contest between last season’s top two.

However, midweek brought disappointment in Chile, where they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Universidad de Chile in the Copa Libertadores—starting their title defense on the wrong foot. A late red card for Igor Jesus capped off a frustrating evening.

Now back on home soil, Fogo will be eager to return to winning ways.

Juventude

Juventude are the early joint league leaders following a dominant 2-0 home victory over Vitória on opening day.

Gabriel Tallari opened the scoring inside the first eight minutes with a lovely finish from a tight angle. In the second half, he was involved again—this time after some brilliant work by Emerson Battalla, whose driving run from midfield caused chaos in the Vitória defence. When they failed to clear their lines, Tallari pounced to add his second and seal all three points for Juve.

With no midweek distractions, Juventude will be hoping to capitalize on any fatigue Botafogo might be carrying into this match.
